Next from NO DOUBT. Guitarist Tom Dumont posted a news item on www.NoDoubt.com announcing a new No Doubt disc, expected to hit store shelves in April 2000. The greatly anticipated follow-up to their 1996 debut, Tragic Kingdom, will be titled Return to Saturn, with "Simple Kind of Life" as the first single.
MARCY PLAYGROUND falls ill. The members of Marcy Playground have come down with a variety of sicknesses, keeping them from their latest tour dates. According to MTV News, singer John Wozniak is bedridden with pneumonia in a Santa Cruz hotel room, forcing the cancellation of a minimum of three shows and possibly the remaining tour. Also, drummer Dan Reiser has an ear infection, bassist Dylan Keefe has a cold, and the band's soundman can't travel due to an ear polyp. Compiled by Glennie Rabin News Editor
