METALLICA says perfume name stinks. METALLICA has filed a lawsuit citing trademark infringement over a newly released Guerlain perfume bearing their name, says CDNOW's Allstar. Under legal fire are Neiman-Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman department stores along with the manufacturer of the vanilla-scented "Metallica" perfume. Metallica won a similar suit in January against Victoria's Secret, which had released a line of lip pencils with the Metallica name.

Bring OZZFEST into your living room. Rolling Stone reports that OZZY OSBOURNE is planning to release a CD early next spring, featuring the best live performances of the last two OZZFESTs. The CD should hit store shelves at about the same time as OZZY's upcoming solo album.

B-Side BECK. BECK is releasing a new album of strictly b-sides and remixes, says the one-man-jam's official website. The super cool thing is: two remixes by fans will be included-- that is, two of the winning entries from BECK's Mixed Bizness contest where fans submitted their own remixes of BECK's tunes. Lucky for them!
