News for 10.28.99. LOVE loves the camera. Courtney Love has announced that she will direct her first film, according to BBC Online’s Radio 1 News. The movie will be about the Bay City Rollers, the 70’s band whose claim to fame is the song "Saturday Night." The HOLE singer got the idea for the movie after reading a book about the band, entitled Bye Bye Baby , by Caroline Sullivan. FLEA is back on the silver screen. RockDaily.com reports that the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist is now starring in the indie film Liar's Poker. Flea has appeared in around twenty movies in the past, including Dudes and My Own Private Idaho. Liar’s Poker, which includes a Flea song entitled "No Words" on its soundtrack, opens October 29.
