EVERCLEAR rocks 7-Eleven. According to CDNOW's Allstar, SoCal rockers EVERCLEAR played a gig in a Burbank, California 7-Eleven (yes, the convenience store with the Slurpees) parking lot. The show, put together by KROQ, was a promotion for EVERCLEAR's new release, Songs From an American Movie, Vol. One/Learning How To Smile.

New from U2. Music365 reports that a new album is due out from Ireland's U2 by the end of this year, and a subsequent promotional tour is set for 2001. The album, currently without title and track listing, is being wrapped up in Dublin as we speak.

MARILYN MANSON and EMINEM? MARILYN MANSON will make an appearance in EMINEM's upcoming video for "The Way I Am," says NME. Just as Fred Durst appeared in the video for "The Real Slim Shady," which mentions the BIZKIT singer's name, MANSON will appear as EMINEM chants, "When a dude's gettin' bullied and shoots up his school / They blame it on Marilyn, on Marilyn / and the heroin."
