BEASTIE BOYS and RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE hit the road. Raging on a stage near you: the hottest summer tour duo yet. According to Rolling Stone, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and BEASTIE BOYS join forces for the Rhyme & Reason Tour 2000, which hits Toronto August 2 and continues into September. BLINK-182 on the silver screen. Sonicnet briefly reports that the goofy frontmen of BLINK-182, Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus have Hollywood dreams to follow after they complete their latest tour. The two will star in a movie and co-produce another.
SCREAMING TREES split up. The Seattle rock outfit SCREAMING TREES have called it quits, says NME.com. Mark Lanegan will continue pursuing his solo efforts (he is now on his fifth solo album) and Barrett Martin also continues with his own musical projects. The band united for one final gig in their native Seattle before making the split official.
